Ephesians 1:3 - “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,”
In Christ, you are blessed! This is a truthful saying that you should accept wholeheartedly. Don’t accept any contrary information. The scriptures confirm that “Blessings are on the head of the righteous….” Proverbs 10:6. In Christ Jesus, God has made you righteous (Romans 4:24-25), so blessings are upon you.
To be blessed is to be empowered to prosper, to succeed or to enjoy goodwill. To understand this, think of Jacob and Esau. Esau wept bitterly when he realised his brother Jacob had been blessed with the blessing of the firstborn instead of him. Why was he weeping? Isaac their father who blessed Jacob did not give camels, sheep, goat or landed properties to Jacob. He only spoke those covenant words over him. In fact, Jacob had to flee away from home because of his brother Esau and there was no record that he went with all of the physical possessions from his father Isaac (Read Genesis 27 and 28).
However, he went with the intangible - the blessing, and that intangible caused him and his generations after him to be a blessed people. In fact, the “intangible” produced great material possessions. So, don’t allow your background define whether or not you are blessed. Don’t let society or your bank account trick you into thinking you are not a blessed man because of material possessions. The real blessing is that in Christ Jesus, you are accepted favourably by God! Therefore start walking in the consciousness that; “In Christ, I am blessed”and you will start to walk in the reality of that blessing! You are a blessed child of God, never think otherwise.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank You because I am a blessed man / woman. Your blessing is upon me and I rejoice because I am empowered by You unto victory, dominion and success. I reign in life through Christ Jesus and I have all that I require for life and godliness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
