Hebrews 11:6 - “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
In Mark 5:25, the Bible paints a picture of a woman who had suffered a lot of hardship due to her haemorrhage - the issue of blood. Jesus Christ had been on His way to heal Jarius' daughter when this woman approached, touched the helm of His cloth, and received her healing.
By Jewish laws, she was deemed unclean (Leviticus 15:19), and she could also cause other people to become unclean through making contact with them. So, imagine how hard it was to bring herself out, stumbling, fearful, hiding herself from being noticed while pushing through the crowd. This kind of effort, according to our anchor scripture, is described as 'diligence'. Indeed, the Father rewards those who diligently seek him. So, taking steps as God would have you take them amount to the diligence of faith which God rewards.
Are you trusting God for a lifting? What steps have you taken? Seeking is taking steps, equipping yourself with the skill, building capacity, planning ahead, and gathering all the information needed, even as you seek directions from the Lord. So, prayerfully do that research, enrol in that course, persevere in that role, and do it to the best of your ability. Seeking will be difficult, at times. A scholar once remarked, 'luck is readiness when opportunity arises'. So, the question is, when the opportunity presents itself, will you be ready?
Prayer: Lord, I receive grace to be diligent in all areas of my life, taking steps that you want me to take so I can experience the miracles and glory you want me to experience, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
