Zechariah 1:17 - “Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.”
Consider the story of Esther. When Esther was hesitant about speaking in defence of the Jews to the King as a result of Haman’s plot, Mordecai's message to her reads; “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
Beloved, prosperity is God's will for your life (3 John 2, Psa 35:27). God wants you to prosper in the same manner that Isaac began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous” (Gen 26:13). Hence, He grants us grace and power to make wealth (Deut 8:18). However, as you prosper, the gospel of Christ should also prosper through you.
In the reference scripture, we see that prosperity is an instrument that God uses to advance His kingdom. Beloved, your prosperity is not just for your own enjoyment; it is for the advancement of the plans and purposes of God. This is what Mordecai said to Esther when he inferred that she probably had been made Queen to bring deliverance to her people.
When God blesses you with money, it is for His service. In fact, He has blessed you so you can be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Therefore, give cheerfully and abundantly towards the gospel. This is what gives your wealth eternal value. Give with the mindset that you are spreading the Kingdom of God. God will ensure you continue to prosper for kingdom impact. God bless you.
Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for empowering me to prosper. I declare that I am prosperous, I continue to prosper, I become very prosperous, and my prosperity is advancing Your kingdom in Jesus’ name. Amen
