March is our month of Grace in KCIC. May you enter into a season of abundant grace in Jesus name. What is Grace? It is the mysterious dimension of God’s manifestation of his indescribable love, mercy and kindness towards man, making available God’s riches without you working for it.
Grace is receiving what you did not earn or deserve. Grace has been simply defined as ‘God’s riches at the expense of Christ’. That is, the abundant blessings, favour, gifts, riches, beauty, forgiveness, peace, joy, protection, lifting, rest, promotion, salvation, victory, sound health, etc – all giving freely and received at no cost because of Jesus and what he did for us. The grace of God is a free gift.
The first work of Grace is our salvation. We are saved by grace, not by our own efforts or works; it is God’s gift (Eph. 2: 5, 8). Therefore, we cannot boast but hold our salvation very dearly. Imagine if you were to work for your salvation.
Can you go through what Jesus went through to secure your salvation?
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:11-13
The grace that appeared and offers salvation to every man is Jesus Christ. To enjoy God’s grace, you must accept Jesus Christ genuinely and in totality, not half measure. That grace saved us, transforms us inside out, gives us the power to live right and to say ‘NO’ to unrighteous living; and it gives us Hope to make heaven at last. Beloved, the beginning and end of our journey is by grace. We are saved, kept and raptured by Grace.
To stand and overcome the challenges of life, you need grace. Our father is the God of all grace (1 Pet.5:10-11). Even after you have suffered a little while, his grace will restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. He said to Paul, ‘my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness’ (1 Cor. 12:9).
No matter what you’re going through, God’s grace is available and made sufficient for you. You cannot fail, falter or be put to shame because of Grace.
So, why don’t you ask Him for grace now for that situation. His grace will surely see you through!
