Psalms 103:12 - You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come.
God established and structured life and the earth around the dynamics of time. So, everything evolves and revolves around time. Also, he has ordained for everything kairos time; that is, the appointed time. King Solomon affirmed this when he said, "There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven" (Eccles 3:1). When God said, "For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope" (Jer.29:11); they all fall within set and appointed times.
The greatest mercy a man can receive from God is to be visited according to the times and seasons set for him. "That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers" (Psalm 1:3). God is a God of mercy. He delights in pouring out his mercies which are unending and new every morning. (Lamen 3:22-23). And where mercy goes, favour follows; where both appears, divine visitation happens according to set timings. Wherever there is delay in your life, all you need is the outpouring of the twin blessings of mercy and favour; and that right early (read Psalm 90:14).
For this to happen you must be like the sons of Isaachar; 'men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do' (1 Chron.12:32). Mercy and favour are released when God arises to perform. But God only arises in response to the cry of those who understands what is written concerning them per time and season, and knows what to do. As long as the children of Israel lacked knowledge of their appointed time to leave captivity in Egypt, God was unable to arise on their behalf. But the moment they cried out to him (Exodus 2:23, 3:9), he arose and delivered them by his strong and mighty hand.
The day Hannah knew what her womb was meant for and she prayed with a vow to God; the womb opened instantly (read 1 Sam.1:10-11,19-20). God created and knows the times and seasons set and appointed for you; how then can you say he has forgotten you, or that he's late? He said he will never forget, forsake or leave you (Isaiah 49:15; Heb.13:5). God never comes late either. "And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him" (Gen.21:1-2). Now, it's your turn. Your set time is now and here!
Prayer: Thank you Father for holding my times and seasons in your hands. You have never failed me nor come late. Lord, I arise by the understanding of the times for my life, and I ask that you arise and have mercy upon me; for the time to favour me, yes, my appointed time has come. In Jesus name.
