Joshua 13: 1 - "Now Joshua was old, advanced in years. And the LORD said to him: “You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed."
Imagine God saying to you, "Son, you've grown tired and weary, and you're lukewarm and neither hot nor cold. Your vision, insight, spiritual perspective and drive have become old, stale, and outdated. But looking at the record before Me, there's still very much exploits for you to do". Thst was God's verdict to Joshua in the reference scripture above; that didn't sound like a compliment. It's like God was saying, "heaven has a lot to do but you've run out of steam and lost relevance in God's agenda".
To avoid packing up too early like Joshua, you must be like the sons of Isaachar who had understanding of the times and what God's plan and agenda is (2 Chron.12:32). It is an abomination for God to place a man somewhere and yet, heaven is still searching for someone to fulfil it's agenda for the place. Is God still looking for a man to use in your workplace, church, family, community, etc, even though you are there?
Whenever a man makes themselves irrelevant to God's agenda on earth, God replaces them with another as Saul was replaced by David. God cannot be held to ransom and His agenda cannot derail or be stopped due to a man's complaints, weariness, excuses, non-availability etc. Don't be like Elijah who was ready to give up and end his ministry, claiming "I, even I only, am left.." (Read 1 Kings 19). He appeared to be burned out completely. Avoid burn out at all cost.
Beloved, it is time to wake up from your slumber, open your eyes to see the very much land remaining for you to possess, draw strength from God's word and seek Him in prayers. God is not finished with you yet regardless of your shortcomings and opposition from the enemy. You need to keep looking unto Jesus (Heb.12:2-4) and pursue the goal that is set before you, to the very end.
Prayer: Thank you Father for not giving up on me despite my becoming weary, old and tired. Please renew my strength and rekindle my fire and vision. I am ready to possess all the land ordained for me in destiny.
