Revelation 2:29 - “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
One thing the Spirit is saying right now is that "men ought always to pray, and not to faint" Luke 18:1 (KJV). In fact, the Spirit is always saying this because prayer is meant to be a continuous endeavour, not a sporadic or irregular occurrence. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, "pray without ceasing." The question then becomes, how many people can hear the Spirit beckoning on them to pray? Are you one of such?
To hear doesn't only mean to receive by your senses of hearing what has been said, it also means responding to what has been said. It is your response that evidences or confirms the fact that you truly heard what has been said. Moreover, obedience is demonstrated by taking action, and not just by acknowledging what has been said. Hebrews 3:7-8 says, "Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness".
Beloved, now is the time to pray and not to faint. Now is the time to pray ceaselessly. You have heard the call of the Spirit beckoning on you to pray. Do not harden your hearts. Moreover, if you're struggling with the weakness of your flesh (Mark 14:38), ask the Spirit of prayer and supplication to quicken or strengthen you (Psalm 80:18). As you respond to the voice of the Spirit and seek, ask and knock in the place of prayer, God has promised that you will find, receive and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7).
Prayer: Father, I receive the grace and strength to respond to the voice of the Spirit and seek You in the place of prayer. As I do, I receive answers to all my requests in Jesus name. Amen.
