Hebrews 11:7 - “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.”
One of the beautiful things about being a Christian is that we are called to a greater reality than what we see or perceive in the natural. This is the realm of walking with the Lord by faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says; “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” God is always pleased when we can believe what He says as opposed to what we can see or feel.
Noah, who is the main character in our anchor scripture, believed God for something that was never heard of, a worldwide flood. Being in the shoes of Noah today could mean having to spend a financial fortune on a project that has never been heard of with no evidence to back it up; probably quitting your job to ensure that this project meets its deadline or having no free time in your hands; convincing your family and others, including weather experts on the eventuality of a flood you have no facts about all because God said so! Noah persevered in building the ark just because he believed God that the flood was happening. In the end, his act of faith saved his family and preserved humanity.
As you dedicate your time and focus in continual fellowship with God, He may reveal things that by natural or physical limitations are seemingly impossible. Yet, He desires that we do not doubt but rather pledge to obey, just like Noah and the other heroes of faith in the Bible (read Hebrews chapter 11). Do not put a cap on the possibilities of God. Have an open mind to what He is setting you up for and be ready to take actions which show that you believe what He has said.
Prayer: Dear Father, I pray that you give me the grace and courage to step out in faith when and where you send me despite the circumstances that oppose Your Word to me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
